Other cartridges: drinking water, pool and spa

Under-sink drinking water systems (often called RO, short for reverse osmosis), pool and spa filters and other setups take cartridges on their own schedule.

Find the right fit

  1. Model number. Start with the system model number, on the under-sink system, the pool or spa filter tank, or in the manual.
  2. Part number. Then the part number or size printed on the old cartridge. A photo of the label makes the match easy.
  3. Two or more retailers. Look the model or part number up at two or more retailers. Buy the one listed as a fit for your model, and check the printed size or part number on the box matches.

What to look for

  • A cartridge listed for your system.
  • Same length, width and fitting as the one coming out.
  • Name it in the home hunt so the reminder says what it is.

When to swap

As often as the cartridge or the manual says.
